Checking-In: Fall 2022
While the sun hasn’t quite decided to leave us here in Oregon quite yet, Fall is certainly in the air. The summer heat gives way for cool crisp morning and children have kicked off a new school year. As we ramp up another election season, the markets will try to make heads or tails of the uncertainty not only brought on by an election, but also concerns over inflation and interest rates. Meanwhile, we continue to meet with lots of new clients while working hard to further the planning and investment goals of everyone we work with. We truly appreciate the trust our clients have in the service we provide and are honored to help the friends and loved ones they send our way for help.

Scott had a wonderful summer, traveling to see family in the Midwest and in NJ and catching up on projects around the house. He plans to take a bit of sabbatical this fall with a long-delayed sailing trip to the Sea of Cortez and mainland Mexico. |

Fred and his family had a difficult quarter (not just in the equity markets), as his mom passed away and their family dog suddenly passed away. |

With the addition of a new family member “Zeus”, a German Shorthaired Pointer, and Owen joining the cross-country team at school, Jessica and family are looking forward to some cooler fall days. In addition to a change in the weather, pumpkins and Halloween are always a welcome treat! |

After a vacation packed, fun and sun-filled summer, James, Heather and the boys are settling into a new school year! Owen is taking up flag football and Levi is already getting prepared for his first season of T-ball (this spring…)! Everyone is looking forward to some Halloween fun and wonderful holiday season. |

Lindsay wrapped up her Summer by sending her son, Maverick, off to kindergarten! She’s looking forward to the cooler weather, baking goodies and going trick-or-treating with Darth Vader AKA Maverick. |

After waiting for travel protocols to return to normal, this summer has been one of reuniting with family and friends for Dale and Shirley. June found them visiting their daughter’s family in Orange County, Southern California. This trip was combined with Dale’s annual visit with clients in Palm Springs as well. July is the family’s traditional vacation in Central Oregon at Black Butte Ranch with lots of recreation and relaxation. Home landscape projects were on the agenda in July. Dale and Heather Johnstone continue to guide clients through another period of market uncertainty and are grateful for their many long-standing relationships. |

It’s hard for Heather to say good-bye to her favorite season. This summer was filled with a family get-together at a cabin in British Columbia, a restful week in Joseph in Eastern Oregon and many relaxing hours paddle boarding on local rivers. She is now looking forward to cooler days, fun fall activities and the upcoming apple season! |
