Q&A with Aidan

What is one of the biggest growth opportunities or challenges you have faced?

I spent the better part of 2021 working to obtain my CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional credential. This took hundreds of hours of studying and review, and was not at all an easy task, but I am thrilled that I persevered and was able to achieve this certification. The knowledge that I gained during this process will undoubtedly help me to provide excellent service to my clients.

What do you like to do for fun?

I love hiking with my dog, Dolly. We are especially fond of visiting trails and beaches on Washington’s Olympic Peninsula. I like to take every opportunity I can to get outdoors. I have also ridden horses competitively for most of my life and enjoy spending time with horses whenever possible.

Why did you decide to work in this field?

I’ve always wanted to be able to make a positive impact on people in some way. After graduating from the University of Washington with a bachelor’s degree in Communication, I took a job working as a receptionist and office assistant at Harvest Capital Advisors. Over the years, I got to see what an incredible impact financial planning has on people’s lives and I wanted to be a bigger part of the process. When Harvest was acquired by The H Group, I was given the opportunity to begin participating in the planning process in a larger capacity. After getting this hands-on experience I knew that this was what I wanted to do and went on to obtain my CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™.

What is something most people don’t know about you?

I love to bake and have baked cookies for an event of over 300 people. Chocolate chip cookies are my specialty, but I’m a big fan of experimenting with my baking and trying out new recipes for all sorts of baked goods.
