Checking-In: Spring 2021
As we continue to march on through 2021, the beautiful Spring weather brings new life to a dreary winter season. Kids are starting to get back in the classroom and life is beginning to look just a little more normal. We have been working diligently to prepare in welcoming our clients back into the office and have now begun scheduling in-person visits.

Scott and his wife Linden took to the road this last quarter with a trip through southern Utah and SW Colorado. They report being stunned and delighted by the incredible topography and fascinated by the numerous Ancestral Puebloan structures and the mysterious history of the migrations of those peoples in the 11th and 12th centuries.
Fred and Amy are celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary. We are going to be able to spend time with all of our family, celebrating over our anniversary weekend.
Jessica and family have been enjoying the lovely Spring weather! She was happy to sneak away to the coast for a birthday trip in April, which was a wonderful change of scenery. Owen is now entering the land of the teenager, officially turning 13 in May! My has the time flown by.
James, Heather and the boys have been spending as much time in the sunny Spring weather as possible. Owen finally got to start t-ball, after the season was canceled last year. Of course, that means James has taken up the Sager family tradition of coaching. While coaching a dozen 5 and 6 years can fee like herding cats, it’s sheer entertainment to watch them learn and play the game.
Lindsay has spent the Spring painting and decorating her new house in the country and making sure a cougar doesn’t run off with her 4 year old. Now that she’s 5 minutes from the lake, she plans to spend her summer days paddle boarding out on the water. |
2021 is a significant year for Dale as he marks 40 years as a CFP® professional and advisor. Although financial markets and the economy have changed significantly in the last 40 years, the financial planning goals of clients remain the same; adequate retirement income and lifestyle, experiencing the joy of family, grandkids, and friends, leaving a well-planned estate, benefiting favorite charitable organizations, etc. It is with gratitude that Dale and Heather Johnstone endeavor to continue to serve clients well.
Dale and Shirley recently visited his daughter’s family in SoCal , celebrated their granddaughter’s graduation from Sandy high school, and are looking forward to Summer! |

Heather and her husband were able to travel to Spokane twice in the last couple of months. One was a long weekend trip to celebrate their youngest son’s 25th birthday, with a quick day-trip to Coeur D’Alene. The other was a family work party to help a nephew with a “yard clean-up”. The days working together (getting lots accomplished!) and visiting with family members we haven’t seen in over a year was a wonderful treat!! We’re looking forward to more family visits in the months to come. |
