Checking-In: Winter 2021

After a long, dry several months, old man winter has reared his ugly head here in Oregon. Blue sky and excessive heat have given way to cold air and atmospheric rivers. While the days may be shorter and the weather a little gloomier, we continue our commitment in helping our clients achieve their financial goals, as well as meet with new folks. As we reflect back on 2021 and look forward to new beginnings in 2022, we can’t overstate the appreciation we have for the trust our clients have in the work we do for them and the family and friends they have sent our way for help.

The H Group, Inc. – Portland

	Scott and his wife Linden had a great fall and managed to squeeze in a sailing cruise along the southern California coast in September with stops in Monterey Bay, Morro Bay and Santa Barbara. They wistfully watched many other sailors heading south on the way to sunnier climes with hurricane season ended but dutifully pointed the bow north to winter’s quarters in San Francisco Bay. They are looking forward to a family gathering during the holidays and further sailing excursions in the new year.
	Fred, Amy and the family traveled to Spain after Thanksgiving. While it was a short one-week visit, the experience and family time outweighed the 16 hours of flying each way.
	Jessica and family are still getting settled into their new home. The kids are all happily on their winter break and hoping for snow fall soon. Jessica reports this holiday season has flown by, but it has been wonderful to have all the merriment in their new place.
	After a nice escape to Mexico with Heather for a week in October, James has spent the past several weeks training the new member of their family. The boys are in love with their new puppy, a black lab, Bernese mix named Luna (she almost looks like a black golden retriever). As the end of the year approaches, they celebrate the holidays with excitement and look forward whatever the year ahead brings their way.
	Lindsay spent the Fall season sharpening her photography skills. She spent several days in Sedona, AZ hiking through Boynton Canyon and capturing the pink hues of sunset at Bell Rock. She will be finishing off the year surrounded by family for the Holidays.
