Scott and Linden were so very pleased to welcome their first grandson into the world in August. The new baby and his parents live in San Francisco so there will be many trips south for the new proud grandparents over the coming years!
Jessica and her family are keeping busy! School, sports, and drivers’ education are all in the mix this fall. She reports their pup Ollie continues to be the cutest member of the family.
James, Heather and the boys are finally permanent residents of Bend, having closed on their new home at the end of August (who decided it was a good idea to close and begin moving the day after they got home from Disneyland is anyone’s guess)! Owen and Levi love being back in school and Brooks continues to grow way too fast, he’s extremely determined to walk and keep up with his older brothers.
Lindsay‘s son, Maverick has started 2nd grade and little brother, Amos loves watching him play on the football team. She’s looking forward to dressing Amos up as a skunk for his first Halloween!
Fred and Amy enjoyed attending the wonderful wedding for their son (Peyton) and their new daughter-in-law (Grace). The wedding rehearsal dinner was above the Cheers bar in Boston. This site was also where Grace’s grandparents had their wedding reception.
During the month of July Dale and Shirley had their entire family together for a week of vacation on the Oregon coast. Adults and kids alike had fun in Seaside playing miniature golf (Papa won!), riding the Tilt-A-Whirl, playing video games, enjoying seafood meals, playing on the beach on sunny days, and a beach bonfire. August found Dale in Central Oregon visiting clients for Annual Reviews, and in Continuing Education sessions to maintain professional certifications and registrations. With September came a long-awaited trip for Dale and Shirley, a European trip visiting Hungary, Austria, Germany, and the Czech Republic. Quaint villages, wonderful Bavarian meals, visiting palaces, ancient seats of government, historic churches, and experiencing WWII sites were all part of the adventure. This was only possible because of the support of Heather Johnstone and the entire H Group professional staff serving our client families so well. We look forward to Fall and the holidays, and the continuing privilege it is to work with and serve our clients.
The third quarter of 2024 was a busy one! Heather and her extended family enjoyed their annual summer holiday at the family log cabin in British Columbia in July. Lots of time was spent playing in the lake, picking berries (for pies!), enjoying family meals together, and doing some of the work around that property that always needs to be done. August saw a bumper crop of raspberries and blueberries; lots for fresh eating with plenty left over for jam and pies. Heather also enjoyed lots of opportunities to go paddleboarding in local rivers and lakes during our beautiful summer weather. September has begun a new schedule of meetings, retreats and activities for two of the Boards that Heather is a member, Newberg Dundee Police Foundation and Oregon Conference of the Free Methodist Church.
