Scott and Linden have enjoyed a bit of sailing over the last several months and are looking forward to Spring bringing warmer temperatures to our area.
Jessica and family enjoyed the Easter holiday with her brother’s family flying into town from New Orleans for their annual visit. All the nieces and nephews overtook grandma and grandpa’s house for the weekend. Eleven kids between 9 and 17 makes for quite the ruckus, but it is the best time of year for all.
As baseball season winds up into full gear, James is settling into another hectic schedule between coaching Levi and Owen (he wouldn’t have it any other way). Brooks is thriving, taking in all of the chaos of his two older brothers, as Heather looks forward to some warm, sunny central Oregon weather.
Lindsay spent the winter snuggling baby Amos, celebrating her oldest son’s 7th birthday and playing in the snow. She’s looking forward to the warmer weather and spending time out on the family farm with her husband.
Fred reports that Amy just had a total knee replacement surgery and has been doing great. She is pretty darn tough and this surgery and rehab has not been easy. At this time, she is feeling like there are better days ahead.
The first quarter of 2024 was a busy one for Dale. He completed several hours of Continuing Professional Education with topics including Invest Research and Quarterly Market Updates, How the Liberal Arts Inform Finance, and Contributions of Private Business Interests to Charity. Dale and Shirley also attended a special dinner and lecture at George Fox University recognizing the university’s leadership in advancing the profession of the CFP®, Certified Financial Planner Practitioner. College of Business students can graduate with their business degree as well as being prepared to take the rigorous series of exams and practice to receive their CFP® designation (Dale and Shirley met while students and are both graduates of George Fox University). They had a spur-of-the-moment vacation in Hawaii in February and visited clients in Arizona in March followed by time with family and celebration of their granddaughter’s birthday in Southern California. Dale looks forward to serving clients in the coming months…as well a bit of golf and fly fishing!
The first quarter of the year always flies by so quickly, and this year was no different. Beginning of the year activities kept us busy! Heather and her husband were able to fit in a couple of quick visits to our mothers in British Columbia and Northern Washington in February and March. We’re so grateful to be close enough to plan weekend visits. The warm weather of the last few days has us dreaming of sunny days in the garden this summer.
